Cutter & Buck signs new title partnership with the Swedish Golf Association tour for men

New Wave Group with the Cutter & Buck brand has signed a new agreement with the Swedish Golf Association regarding title partnership for the Nordic professional tour for men. The agreement extends over a four-year period starting in 2024. The new name will be Cutter & Buck Tour.

After several years as an official partner, Cutter & Buck is now stepping up and taking over the title sponsorship for the Swedish Men’s Golf Tour. In addition to the title sponsorship, Cutter & Buck will also annually organize a separate competition on the Cutter & Buck Tour during the agreement period.

Crackle Circular by Åsa Jungnelius wins the prestigious Red Dot Award: Best of the Best

Crackle Circular – a product series featuring three vases and one bowl produced using upcycled waste glass in Kosta (Sweden) – has been awarded one of the world’s leading design awards: Red Dot Award in the category Product Design ‘Best of the Best’.

Red Dot Award – based in Germany – was introduced in 1955 and is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious international design awards. The Red Dot: Best of the Best prize is awarded by an international jury for groundbreaking design and is the highest distinction in each category.

The Crackle series, designed by Åsa Jungnelius and mouthblown in Kosta, is a tribute to cracks, beautifully preserved in glass. The mold is dug out of clay by hand and the cracked surface is formed using an old craft technique where the hot glass is dipped in ice cold water.

Reed vase series by Monica Förster wins Red Dot Award

Reed – a new exclusive vase series by Monica Förster for Orrefors – has been awarded the prestigious international design award Red Dot Award: Product Design.

Red Dot Award – based in Germany – was first introduced in 1955 and is recognized as one of the leading design awards globally. Leading products showcasing exceptional design and form are selected by an international jury across multiple categories.

With Orrefors long experience and leading expertise in glass, Förster has created a series of vases inspired by the shapes and expressions of nature, a tribute to Scandinavian form and nature. By emphasizing the mold lines instead of hiding them, Förster provided the Reed design with its strong character. When the design was transferred to glass, these distinct lines took on a sense of organic movement mirroring a gentle sway in the grass.

Craft and the Norwegian cross-country ski team engage in long term apparel partnership

Craft Sportswear has signed a 5-year contract with the Norwegian Ski Federation, meaning that the skiers of the world's most successful national cross-country ski team will race and train in Craft apparel as of 2022.

"Craft has for several decades been a world leader in the design and development of cross-country ski clothing. The partnership with NSF is one of our biggest investments ever in this category and gives us a great opportunity to further strengthen our market position both in Norway and internationally", says Craft's CEO Stefan Persson. "The skiers on the Norwegian national team will wear our latest and most innovative garments, items that will also be made exclusively from sustainable materials."

New Wave Group Wins Silver in the Swedish Design Awards 2020

The result is finally decided in one of Sweden's most prestigious design awards for everyone who works with graphic design and visual communication.

Last night, New Wave Group's Sustainability Report 2019 received a silver medal in the Swedish Design Awards 2020, in the category "Information Annual Report - listed companies".

It was the first time the Group participated in the annual award, where numerous creative agencies and designers have their work judged based on craftsmanship, layout and communication.

Graphic designer Angelina Sheremet och CSR- and Sustainability Manager Anni Sandgren are delighted over a second spot, especially having competed against bigger agencies for the first time.
